Cryopreservation Program

Cryopreservation techniques use substances which act as “cryoprotectives” to keep safe the viability of the material to be cryopreserved so that it will not be altered when taken to extremely low temperature conditions (-196º Celsius degrees).

Together with these protective substances a freezer is used, which allows, in a programmed and exact way, reaching desired temperatures at settled times and in a very gradual way. This is the way we can cryopreserve with the best rates of success.

We use different protocols and this depends exclusively on what is going to be cryopreserved. Therefore, the way to cryopreserve spermatozoa, with no regards to their source of origin, remarkably differs from that one used for embryos or fertilized oocytes.
